Parent surveys are conducted using paper based questionnaires during consultation evenings for each respective year group during the academic year. To date (May 2014) 433 parents have completed the survey although not all parents responded to every question.
The survey consists of 12 questions that replicate exactly those used in the Ofsted Parent View surveys covering achievement, quality of teaching and learning, extra-curricular involvement, behaviour, safety and well-being, homework, leadership and management and communication with parents.
Parents were offered the following options as responses to each question: Strongly agree, agree, disagree, strongly disagree, don’t know.
The results from the survey will help us to measure progress on the school Raising Achievement Plan and to inform future developments.
