During the Covid-19 pandemic, many schools, including Sandbach School experienced periods of closure where the use of remote education was required. Our approach included using Microsoft Teams to deliver some live lessons and register check-ins to support student engagement and wellbeing.

Government non-statutory guidance is very clear that remote education should only ever be considered as a last resort where a decision has been made that attendance at school is not possible, but pupils are able to continue learning. This is likely to be in a situation where the Government has decided that attendance at school is not possible, such as occurred during the pandemic.

If there is the need for remote education provision at Sandbach School, our approach will be clearly communicated to all students and parents and will also appear on this page. If this is required, we are likely to take a similar approach to that adopted during the pandemic.
