Transition from primary to secondary school

At Sandbach School, we recognise that for some students, the transition process may be an especially stressful period of time. We endeavour to identify these students early on by liaising closely with our primary school feeder schools.

As part of our transition phase we offer a programme called ‘New Horizons’. This is delivered by members of our Learning Support Department within the primary school setting. Following on from this we also have an additional transition day, where selected students come into school and experience some of the lessons and activities we have on offer.

What else does the Learning Support Department offer?
