Transition and Induction Phase (Year 7 & 8)

Program of study

Students receive 2 lessons of History per week. Students will begin the course by developing their historical skills before moving onto a range of historical topics. In Year 7 the focus will be on local as well as English and British History – Our World. In Year 8 the focus will be on Britain’s international role in History alongside the history of global conflict – Our wider world.

Assessment & Homework

Students will be assessed before each review point.

A variety of homework tasks will be set and published on ‘show my homework’. Typically a homework should take around 30 minutes. Examples of Homework include; research tasks, extended writing, reading homework, drafting and reflections on work done in class as well as extended projects.
