Transition and Induction Phase (Year 7 & 8)

Program of study

Students receive 4 lessons of Geography every fortnight. Students will begin the course by learning about the types of Geography, the local area and developing map skills. By year 8, they will start to learn more about the wider world and the issues that it faces.

Assessment & Homework

Students will be assessed via cumulative assessments prior to each review.

A variety of homework tasks will be set every fortnight and published on ‘show my homework’. Typically a homework should take around 1 hour. Examples of Homework include; research tasks, extended writing, exam questions.
